The goal of this meeting was to survey current activities and plans related to development of mouse and rat brain digital atlasing systems. The workshop discussed needs for and types of coordinated action that will ensure rapid progress, compatibility, and dissemination with use of novel technological approaches. A workshop report summarizes the state-of-the-art in the field and provide recommendations for actions.
